What we do:

FREE Arizona is committed to establishing sustainable economic and social equity for those who have been impacted by punitive systems in Arizona. Our services are designed to support those most directly impacted by carceral systems. Our services will expand as we grow, and we plan to expand services to families, caregivers, and victims of crime.

The nature of this work is personal and private to each individual. We ask volunteers to commit to at least ONE YEAR. Dependent on the area of interest this commitment can fluctuate based on needs and active projects.

    Our role in the community is to serve as a reliable resource. We work with our clients long-term and believe continuity with care is key to successful outcomes.

    Volunteers learn skills on how to effectively navigate Arizona’s Pro Se petition process and gain civil rights and justice advocacy experience.

  • Advocate

    Our advocacy and assistance are consistently aligned with the needs of the clients we serve. Our advocacy provides support administratively as well as communally. Our advocacy work includes policy reform and within legal systems.
